Your Role at a Glance
The Infrastructure Administrator II is responsible for the overall functions of activities related to the network and infrastructure of the organization ensuring that global physical and cloud infrastructure is properly running according to the organization's specifications. This role involves working with the Information Technology infrastructure team to implement best practices while making recommendations to the VP of Information Technology based on industry and regulation standards.
HowYou'll Drive Success Network & Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and support the physical network and infrastructure within physical office locations.
- Oversee the global infrastructure verifying that it conforms to the organization's information technology structure.
- Configuration management of network segments for Internet and Intranet systems to ensure operability, including WAN, LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls & security appliances.
- Installation and maintenance, network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor networks to ensure their availability to users.
- Responsible for cloud, virtual and physical infrastructure operations.
- Provides Tier 2 & 3 support to the help desk on networking and infrastructure environment.
- Provides monitoring and reporting of network and infrastructure verifying overall health.
- Helps contribute to the knowledge base for help desk technicians.
- Ensures all design decisions are evaluated analytically and in a systematic manner in accordance with approved technical approaches, processes, and procedures.
- Annual review of infrastructure appliances making recommendations on improvements to support the organizations' business goals.
- Supports disaster recovery planning by providing oversight of backup processes and procedures.
- Works closely with other teams within the organization on various projects, assignments, and problems.
- Maintains accurate documentation of the topology for the network and infrastructure.
- Works independently on specific projects assigned and executes successfully.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent.
- 3-5 years' relevant work experience required.
- Working knowledge of Aruba Central and Azure IaaS is a plus.
- Experience working with enterprise grade firewalls and switches.
- Working knowledge of network concepts including, but not limited to, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and SD‑WAN.
- Proven ability to document complex global networks supporting multiple offices.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra other Microsoft technologies.
- Proven hands‑on experience in Information Technology systems and networks.
- Knowledge of network security best practices.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, paying close attention to details.
- Experience with Cloud Computing skills (Microsoft 365 preferred).
- Personable, professional, and customer‑centric individual who takes ownership/pride in customer experience.
- Proven ability to work independently, with self‑direction, to complete tasks and projects in a proactive manner.
