Commercial Construction Assistant Estimator

An established General Contractor arm of a Developer Builder in Phoenix that’s growing rapidly with a backlog of projects, is seeking an Assistant Estimator to join the team. With backlog over the next 5 years this provides opportunity to learn and grow.

This Assistant Estimator needs to be versed in client relationships, experienced with building estimation, Multi‑Family, and adaptable to change as the project runs it course.

• 3-5+ years of experience learning estimating commercial construction
• Responsible for overseeing profit and loss relating to assigned projects and will develop regular margin projections
• Developing and managing estimates on multiple, simultaneous projects
• Work with clients and design teams
• Track, price, and negotiate project cost changes

• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors
• Presenting prepared estimates to management to owners and clients
• Working with Preconstruction team using clear communication and effective team building skills
