Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.

Role Purpose

The Equipment Engineer II supports manufacturing performance by diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues, analyzing equipment faults, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned area. This role partners with the area supervisor to address major equipment anomalies while contributing to the development of operational engineers by sharing technical expertise and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the organization of major downtime anomalies (such as single-line welding machines exceeding 30 minutes, individual welding machines exceeding 40 minutes, or first-time, repeated, typical failures), analyze and implement corrective actions for equipment-caused quality anomalies (meeting 4D, 8D standards), and ensure 100% implementation of measures.

* Undertake the department's KPI indicators and ensure a 100% completion rate for the responsible indicators.

* Responsible for promoting equipment improvement and innovation projects in the area, with no less than 2 department-level improvements per quarter and at least 1 company-level improvement per year.

* Undertake QCC special activities arranged by superiors and develop Gantt charts to ensure timely completion of plans.

* Output technical reports and conduct no less than 1 technical training session per month, based on training attendance records.

* Responsible for area-specific technical improvement projects, with the ability to independently design solutions, manage processes, and summarize projects.

* Design engineer skills exam papers and submit them to superiors for review.

* Spare parts management including:
* (1) Responsible for establishing reasonable standards for equipment consumables;
* (2) Check for duplicate spare parts requisitions;
* (3) Analyze monthly spare parts consumption for equipment to ensure reasonable inventory;
* (4) Verify incoming spare parts.

* Responsible for establishing and updating operating specifications for the equipment under jurisdiction, in collaboration with department clerks to ensure effective document updates.

* Assist superiors in identifying equipment safety risks and preventing accidents from occurring.

* Responsible for communicating with manufacturers regarding the main issues with equipment and improvement directions.

* Responsible for meeting departmental and company-level improvement and innovation indicator requirements within the region and fostering engineers' improvement awareness and thinking.

* Assist supervisors in auditing production line 5S and standardization of operations.

Education Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, electrical, automation, or related fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* At least two years of experience in equipment maintenance, with preference given to those with experience in the photovoltaic or semiconductor industries.

* Proficiency in electrical or mechanical maintenance skills, mechanical design, circuit design, or programming.
