Role PurposeThe Manufacturing Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting the Plant Controller in the timely and accurate completion of finance and accounting deliverables. This role also partners closely with plant operations leadership to analyze manufacturing and cost data, provide financial insights, and support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the monthly financial close process, including analyzing actual results and assisting with monthly reporting requirements
- Assist the Plant Controller with finance and accounting activities such as fixed asset tracking, inventory valuation, product costing, period-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and asset and liability control
- Support the annual budget and forecasting process, including analysis of capital investments using return metrics such as ROI, IRR, and payback
- Partner with plant personnel to identify, track, and quantify cost reduction opportunities and support ongoing maintenance of plant cost accounting systems
- Perform inventory analysis and support inventory control processes, capital investment tracking, and manufacturing variance analysis and reporting
- Help maintain internal controls and support compliance with local regulations, Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements, U.S. GAAP, and corporate accounting policies
- Assist with documentation and reporting needs related to audits, tax, and insurance filings
- Contribute financial analysis and operational insight to support plant leadership and business performance improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related technical field required
- Approximately 3+ years of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or related analytical experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience with general ledger systems and forecasting tools
- Experience with People Soft, SAP, Khalix, or similar systems preferred
- Exposure to Performance Excellence, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing processes is a plus

CompensationThe range for this position is $67,342.00 - $92,595.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
