SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the manufacturing operations of an assigned shift by assigning work, providing hands‑on supervision, while following company directives, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Directly supervise production staff, including packers, pack techs, print operators, equipment operators, material handlers, leads and shift mechanic.
- Act as a Win Cup champion by demonstrating company values and promoting team member engagement.
- Assign work according to priority lines and skill availability.
- Support team members with necessary resources to do their jobs accurately, timely and safely.
- Complete quality, efficiency and production reports daily.
- Safely achieve established production schedules and efficiencies while monitoring equipment, processes and operating techniques on a continuous basis to assure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with maintenance to maintain equipment and utilities in proper working condition and monitor to assure equipment is utilized safely and efficiently.
- Comply with all employment laws and report employee relations to human resources.
- Ensure maximum use of raw materials while minimizing scrap levels to attain company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production, employee absenteeism, accidents, wage increases, time off and overtime.
- Manage performance and address performance gaps through progressive disciplinary actions.
- Audit and approve team member timecards for payroll processing.
- Ensure all new team members are properly trained in a timely manner.
- Input data into computer programs/systems as required for production records.
- Work with quality control personnel to ensure product quality and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Conduct job, safety and ad‑hoc training sessions with shift personnel.
- Perform start‑up shift meetings to communicate important company and plant information.
- Communicate and enforce company work rules and policies consistently and fairly across shift.
- Enforce plant safety rules, housekeeping standards, and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Control and monitor attendance and punctuality of assigned shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
- Three (3) years of leadership experience in manufacturing field required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Prior manufacturing industry experience required.

- Team Member will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information.
- Team Member will be required to observe and assess information in a fast‑paced environment.
- Requires frequent use of production or manufacturing equipment and/or machinery.
- Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions.
- Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 12 hours shifts.
- Team Member may be required to walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach or grasp with hands and arms.
- Workspace contains moving mechanical parts.
- Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air‑conditioned.
- Work environment contains loud noises and odors or fumes that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.
- Must wear PPE while entering or working in plant areas, which includes hairnet, beard net, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.
