Job Title
Demonstrate proficiency with the use of automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Demonstrate ability to set, change, trouble shoot, remove install die sections and clean stamping dies. Proactively apply knowledge with improvements to equipment and processes.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesChange various components inside the die.
Remove and install die sections
Work with T and D for tool sharpening
Trouble shoot forming issues, punch issues and progression issues.
Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
Perform required preventative maintenance.
Assemble necessary components per documentation to strict, precision tolerances
Verify correct die is used per customer specification, as outlined on work order
Identify and appropriately respond to nonconforming parts
Visually check parts for conformance with quality specified characteristics
Complete Die Set-up check sheets and develop Die process sheets
Provide support for Die Setters as workload allow
Train others as needed
Work with planners and schedulers to make sure the dies are ready to run as planned.
Work with and communicate effectively with Management to plan for any issues that may arise.
Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems for proper operation during manufacturing.
Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

Skills & AbilitiesEducation and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions.

Skills:
Some PC skills helpful, but not required.

Read a tape measure.

Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the operators may be exposed to the following: moving mechanical parts, moving product parts, vibration, moving forklifts, coolants, noise levels requiring hearing protection.
