Production Equipment Operator

Tolleson, AZ

WORK TYPE:
ON SITE

Rotational Schedules

Day Shift: 5:50 am to 6:00 pm

Night Shift: 5:50 pm to 6:00 am

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating production equipment at Win Cup Tolleson, may be asked to operate one of 4 equipment group’s (Handling Equipment, Mold Equipment, Pre Expansion, Lids) to include basic trouble shooting and minor maintenance repairs.

Functions:

• Will be trained to operate one of 4 equipment group’s
  - Handling Equipment, Mold Equipment, Pre Expansion, or Lids
• Perform random quality checks to ensure that only quality product is manufactured.
• Preforms safety checks on all equipment regularly throughout the shift.
• Wears all required PPE
• Maintains assigned machines operating at 90% or better.
• Maintains established cycle settings on assigned machines.
• Comply with all safety rules, polices, procedures and practices to include performing lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of production equipment when required.
• Diagnose and determine cause for basic machine malfunctions of assigned machines.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
• Tracks and documents machine down time as required.
• Tracks and documents Quality issues as required
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Lead, Shift Supervisor or Department Manager.

Education:High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:One year in a manufacturing environment. One year as a production equipment operator. Previous machine operator experience in plastics or foam industry or extrusion or thermoforming operator preferred.

Skills:Basic computer skills, must be ability to read, write and speak English and have good oral/written communication skills.

Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.

• Exposed to extreme heat. In-doors in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned.
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.
• Work an 8+ or 12+ hour day shift
• Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime
