Quality Control & Assurance Specialist – Corning

Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of materials, processes, and finished products to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
- Monitor production activities to identify and resolve deviations or non-conformities.
- Perform and analyze quality tests (EL, IV, and visual appearance) for photovoltaic modules.
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate cross-functionally to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Track and report on improvement measures to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Assist with internal and external quality audits, including ISO
9001 and customer-specific certifications. - Ensure all processes meet regulatory and customer requirements; support preparations for factory inspections.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
- Update and revise quality documentation in response to process or product changes.
- Deliver quality training to production staff to improve awareness and adherence to standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance our quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Education: High School Diploma or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control/assurance, preferably in solar or electronics manufacturing or related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and MSA; experience with IQA processes—including monitoring, feedback, standardization, and continuous improvement; familiarity with ISO
9001 and photovoltaic manufacturing standards; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MES software. - Language: Proficiency in English;
Mandarin/Chinese is a plus. - Experience in lab/reliability testing—focused on measuring performance and collecting data (Solar Lab experience a plus).
The range for this position is $48,530.00 - $66,729.00 assuming full‑time status. Starting pay is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
