Position: Quality Assurance Inspector - 12 Hr NIGHTS
Job Description The Quality Inspector provides guidance to ensure customer requirements are met by performing visual and gauge-based inspection of injection molded goods. Attribute and variable data is observed and collected to determine conformance to established quality specifications. Other contributors to safety, quality and food safety are also observed or inspected, including adherence to safety policies, good manufacturing practices, established methods, procedures, and policies, and raw material conditions.

A Quality Inspector has the discretion and is empowered to require correction, place materials on hold or release them from hold, determine materials to be scrapped, and stop a process partially or in whole.

Responsibilities:

Collect shots and samples from the production floor.

Perform variable inspections that provide metrology data such as size, weight, thickness, or opacity.

Perform attribute inspections comparing to established standards that note the presence or absence of a physical, visual, or functional characteristic or defect. Examples of these attributes include holes in product, deformation, contamination, and damage.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must demonstrate the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, digital indicator and scale.

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports or correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one or small group situations with other employees of the organization.

Good computer skills:
Microsoft Office, ERP and inspection programs.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Associate degree, HACCP and/or SQF experience is a plus.

One or more years working in a quality related position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and outside weather conditions.

Starting Pay: $21.00/Hour plus $2.00/per hour shift differential

Job Type: Full-time
12 Hour Day: 6:30

PPM to 7:00AM2,2,3,2 Schedule
-Works every other weekend
