Position Summary

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. The Machine Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment, including high‑speed stamping presses, conveyors, material handling equipment, and supporting systems.

This role works closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating, when necessary, through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair. Issues may be mechanical or electrical.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose machine, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders in company systems.
  • Work with stamping operations to focus on improving productivity through the use of improvements in machines, materials, or processes.
  • Install and troubleshoot any new equipment as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Attend work during the regularly scheduled shift, including the ability to work overtime as required, arrive on time, and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift.

Skills & Abilities
  • Education and/or

    Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Technical training in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Effectively communicate with co‑workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability:
