The Traffic Control Flagger is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow within and around work zones. This role involves directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour - Full-Time
Schedule: Significant overtime opportunities available, particularly during the peak season from March through October.
- Safely direct traffic using signs, flags, and hand signals
- Set up and remove cones, barricades, and traffic control signage
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Communicate effectively with crew members, drivers, and pedestrians
- Monitor work zones for potential hazards and report any incidents
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Capable of standing for extended periods
- Safety-focused with a commitment to following procedures
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid, clean driver's license
- Able to work outdoors with the AZ heat
- Traveling is required up to 80% within AZ, including weekends
- Clean driver's license (3–5 years, no violations)
- Must successfully complete a flagging course. The company will provide this training on the day of orientation.
