Bus Driver

Position requirements:

• 1. High school graduate, GED and/or equivalent work experience.
• 2. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with AZ School Bus Driver and Passenger Endorsement including air brake certification.
• 3. Successful driving record for the past three years with no DUI convictions.
• 4. Ability to maintain appropriate interpersonal relations with students, parents and others of the district.
• 5. Ability to pass an annual drug test and additional drug tests as appropriate.
• 6. Such alternatives to the above as the administration finds appropriate.
• 7. Experience with driving bus or heavy equipment preferred.

Essential Duties:

• Performs pre and post-trip maintenance checks of vehicle.
• Transports students on regular and assigned runs.
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations.
• Maintains and/or reports undisciplined students to proper authority.
• Reports all necessary preventative maintenance to transportation supervisor as required by law.
• Reports all accidents and completes all required documentation.
• Performs and completes other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services.

Terms of Employment:

10 Month, Full Time Position (40 hours per week) and Benefits Eligible.
