Driver Trainee

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to ultimately become a CDL driver for Coremark. Candidate will work as a trainee helper before attending trucking school and then will be trained to a full paid CDL driver for the company. Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. As a Driver trainee, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of the product delivery to our customers.

• Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday night off.
• Overnight shift.
• Overtime available.
• Pay starts at $20 per hour.
• 40 hours or more a week.

• Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload truck and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas identified by customers.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Minimum age of 19 years old.
• Must have a standard driver’s license for at least 1 year.
• 6+ months in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the food service industry.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
