Job Overview

A Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Job Details

1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Pay Rate: $16.17 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute foundational tasks within a warehouse environment including packaging, unpackaging, putting away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping and preparing units for production.
  • Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
  • Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
  • Walk the length of the flow rack.
  • Wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle‑free.
  • Assist with labeling, tagging, or color‑coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
  • Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
  • Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow warehouse safety regulations.
  • Perform all other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.

  • Experience in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
  • Ability to handle basic issues and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff.

  • Written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Warehouse environment.
  • Stand dynamically for long periods.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle and feel; ability to type, pick, pinch, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.
