Services are available to veterans living in a Western/Central area of Wisconsin. In addition to our main facility in Tomah, we offer services in four community-based outpatient clinics.

These clinics are located in La Crosse, Clark County, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids. VAMC Tomah is one of eight facilities that comprise Veterans Integrated Services Network 12 (VISN
12) which is administratively headquartered at Westchester, IL, and includes facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Center, located in Tomah, Wisconsin, is recruiting for board-certified or board-eligible staff physicians to function as a Medical Officer of the Day (MOD). These positions are full-time, permanent appointments. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus):

Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Retirement:
Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Insurance:
Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. CME:
Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). Malpractice:

Contract:

No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
