Rotation Location Possibilities

Rotational assignments may be located at one or more of the following Johnson Controls locations:

Work Location, Rotations, and Travel

This is a fully on‑site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Participants are expected to work in person at their assigned Johnson Controls facility five days per week. Rotational assignments are a core part of this program and are not limited to your hiring location. One or more of your rotations may be based at another Johnson Controls facility within the United States and require an extended stay away from your home location, typically lasting several weeks to several months.

Company-supported travel, lodging, and relocation assistance are provided in accordance with company policy.

What You Will Do
  • Complete structured rotational assignments across engineering, operations, product development, and other key functions.
  • Apply technical and business skills to real‑world projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to solve complex challenges and drive impact.
  • Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders and technical experts while developing problem‑solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Contribute to the successful and timely completion of projects, provide status updates, and deliver a final capstone project.
  • Work on‑site at your assigned Johnson Controls facility throughout the program and complete rotations that may require extended stays at other U.S. locations.
  • Travel domestically and occasionally internationally for training, project work, factory or supplier visits, and collaboration with global engineering teams.

    Work side‑by‑side with your team and mentors in the lab, on the shop floor, and in office environments.
  • Career opportunities:
    Upon successful completion of the program, transition into a full‑time role in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Product Management.
