Crisis Response

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) seeks a Crisis Response professional to provide immediate, trauma-informed support to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health or housing-related crises. In this client-centered role, you will triage calls and in-person requests, conduct risk and safety assessments, and develop short-term stabilization and safety plans. You will coordinate warm handoffs to LSS programs and community resources, document interventions in electronic records, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and de-escalation via phone, community, or residential settings
• Conduct risk and safety assessments, including suicide and harm evaluations
• Develop and implement short-term safety and stabilization plans with clients and families
• Coordinate referrals and warm handoffs to behavioral health, housing, and social service resources
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to support client needs
• Document all contacts, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly in electronic records
• Participate in on-call or shift-based coverage to ensure 24/7 crisis response availability
• Engage clients with trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered practices
