Position Summary

This hands‑on Superintendent role requires supporting project teams at client sites, coordinating people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and produce desired results, and requires up to 85% travel. As a Construction Superintendent, you will act as Crew Foreman, direct departmental teams, and oversee all aspects of project execution, including safety, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Act as Crew Foreman and direct departmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Delegate and outline tasks involved in the project and coordinate internal resources for streamlined execution.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Effectively communicate Pre‑Job / JIS / Job Goals to internal and external customers.
  • Work with operations to support equipment needs.
  • Deliver all reporting deliverables and data updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain all project documentation.
  • Follow and enforce the Company‑required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Actively participate in JSA, use all necessary steps to complete tasks safely, and ensure the safety of others working in the area.
  • Communicate with all levels of management and crew to present any needs and changes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Complexity, Decision‑Making, Problem Solving
  • Oversee a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, experience, and time constraints.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Act as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Have the confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of construction job sites and project plans.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to adhere to a written method or procedure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including email.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new information.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Management Responsibilities

This role acts as a leader in the field but has no direct reports.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a customer‑service focused and safety‑first organization.
  • Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Environmental/Working Conditions
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must have excellent depth perception, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate all machines safely.
  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
