Collections Coordinator
Tomball, TX
$18–$20 per hour DOE
Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
Connect Staffing is seeking an experienced Collections Coordinator for a growing company in the backup power and home services industry. We are specifically seeking candidates with strong/high-volume collections experience, preferably within a third-party collections agency environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing delinquent accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, handling difficult collection conversations professionally, and consistently meeting collection goals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Debt Collection & Account Management- Manage delinquent accounts ranging from 30 to 120+ days past due
- Conduct high-volume outbound collection calls, emails, and follow-up communications
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement agreements
- Monitor payment plans and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communication
- Review account history and payment trends to determine collection strategy
- Identify and elevate high-risk or non-responsive accounts when necessary
- Perform skip tracing activities to locate customers with outdated information
- Handle difficult customer conversations professionally and effectively
- Maintain strong customer service while resolving past-due accounts
- Resolve account disputes and payment-related concerns in a timely manner
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal departments
- Minimum 2+ years of heavy collections experience required
- Third-party collections agency experience strongly required
- Experience managing high-volume collection accounts and outbound calls
- Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and meet collection goals/KPIs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
