Position: Assistant Athletic Trainer - Tomball West High School - 2026-2027 School Year
Primary Purpose

Assist Head Athletic Trainer with care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree required

* Valid license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers

* Valid Texas teaching certificate preferred

* CPR/FA/AED required or will need to be certified

* CDL
- Preferred but not required

Responsibilities

* Provide healthcare for team practices, games and rehabilitation sessions.

* Assist in certifying all coaches and student athletic trainers in CPR/First Aid/AED

* Normal athletic training room duties

* Assist with supervision of student athletic trainers

* Other duties as assigned by Athletic Directors

* Keeps informed of and comply with applicable state, district, and school regulations and policies.

* Support and assist the administration in implementing all policies governing student-athletes and conduct.

* Stay current on trends, methods and techniques of athletic medicine to provide best possible care for student-athletes.

* Maintain records of athletic physicals, parent releases, medical records, and insurance records on each athlete.

* Attend and participate in required meetings

* Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics of a teacher/educator and athletic trainer at all times.
