About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team and help bring critical power distribution products to life. In this role, you'll develop detailed 3D designs and complete fabrication packages that move directly to our shop floor. If you have hands-on experience designing UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Switchgear, or comparable critical power equipment—and you love turning complex requirements into manufacturable designs—we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
- Produce standard sheet metal and copper (bus) fabrication packages for the fabrication shop
- Translate electrical and mechanical requirements into accurate, manufacturable designs
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and shop teams to ensure designs meet UL standards and fabrication capabilities
- Support continuous improvement of design and fabrication processes
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience designing UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Switchgear, and/or comparable critical power products
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor
- Strong understanding of sheet metal and copper fabrication practices
- Ability to develop complete, shop-ready fabrication packages
- Attention to detail and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience programming fabrication machines (e.g., CNC punch, laser, press brake, or bus fabrication equipment)
