Dispensing Staff Pharmacist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Dispense prescribed compounded medications, verify accuracy, provide patient counseling, and support pharmacy operations in a compounding environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ingredients, and suitability
• Compound and dispense medications per physician orders
• Advise on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
• Maintain patient profiles, records, inventories, and compliance
• Ensure proper mixing, packaging, labeling, storage, and disposal per USP and regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on drug regimens and trends

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong patient service and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of drug interactions and chemistry
• Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
• Compounding experience preferred

Education and Experience

• Pharm
  
  D or Bachelor's in Pharmacy from accredited school
• Active Texas Pharmacist license
• 3+ years in retail, fulfillment, or compounding pharmacy

Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting/standing, computer use, bending; lift up to 15 lbs.
