Primary

Purpose:

Provides technical expertise in the support, management, design, and implementation of the district’s public and private cloud services, network infrastructure, enterprise applications, security systems, and communication systems. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Tomball ISD.

• Associate degree or higher in an Information Technology related field
• Relevant Information Technology certification preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of implementing, managing, and securing all aspects of both public and private cloud services
• Advanced knowledge of implementing, managing, and securing enterprise technologies such as virtualization, compute, storage, identity management/directory services, single sign on, messaging, print, unified communications, and application services
• Advanced knowledge of implementing and managing network infrastructure technologies
• Ability to set priorities and handle multiple complex assignments

• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical support to end users, preferably in an educational environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise class systems and applications.

• Implement, manage, secure, and provide technical leadership for the district’s enterprise systems consisting of public and private cloud services, enterprise applications, network infrastructure, and communications systems.
• Act as the system administrator for the district’s enterprise applications consisting of storage, messaging, single sign on, identity management/directory services, collaboration, print, security, unified communication, and application services.
• Act as part of a team and provide leadership to design, develop, and implement technology systems including policies and procedures district wide.
• Work cooperatively with district staff and external vendors to implement and troubleshoot systems and services district wide.
• Assist in the design, development, implementation, and support of technology systems district wide.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete a written record of every service call.
• Contribute to an accurate inventory of all Technology systems and services in use district wide.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Network Services.

Moderate standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving up to 30 pounds. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours; district wide travel; prolonged sitting and use of computer. Works on-call and after hours.
