Primary Purpose

Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment, network, and software applications throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.

Education/Certification

Associate's degree in a technology-related field preferred. APlus Certification preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Knowledge of DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows NT Basic.
• Knowledge of network operating systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Assist, diagnose, and resolve any problems relating to the networking of technology equipment.
• Perform network installations and relocations as needed.
• Perform installation and repairs as scheduled by the Help Desk.
• Assist in the maintenance of the district technology inventory.
• Keep detailed technical support records.
• Assist in maintaining accurate Help Desk records.
• Perform detailed phone support as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the technology warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Service Supervisor or Executive Director of Technology.

• Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
• Frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment.
• Frequent district-wide travel.
• Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $26.79 Per Hour
