The Manufacturing Warehouse Solutions Specialist is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and optimizing warehouse operations and material flow process within a manufacturing environment. This role collaborates with the Manufacturing Engineer and Production Supervisor to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and overall operational performance through process improvement initiatives and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate current warehouse and manufacturing logistics processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement warehouse solutions that support production and supply chain objectives.
- Optimize inventory management, storage utilization, and material handling workflows.
- Support implementation of ERP systems, and related technologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, cycle times, and warehouse productivity.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with production planners, procurement teams, and logistic providers to ensure timely material availability.
- Train warehouse personnel on new processes, systems, and best practices.
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP platforms, Global Shop Solutions is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse layout design.
- Experience supporting manufacturing facilities
This role often serves as the bridge between warehouse operations and manufacturing production teams to ensure efficient material flow and operational excellence.
