Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines, including Serger/Overlock, to sew pre-cut patterns and pieces. The selected individual will be able to join pieces correctly to form finished products, including parts and mats.

Essential Functions:

• Operate industrial sewing machines and perform Serger/Overlock and top stitching work.
• Guide parts under the needle following edges, seams, machine guides, or markings on the material.
• Cut and organize sewing supplies such as binding, webbing, cord, tape, or thread according to specific specifications or color of material as stated on work order.
• Maintain raw material, cut excess thread or material.
• Use proper equipment, tools, and fabrication techniques.
• Responsible for using a tape measure.
• Responsible for handling, positioning, and moving materials through the sewing and other manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• Must have Serger sewing machine experience:
  Minimum 3 year (Required)
• Sewing/Upholstering experience preferred
• Attention to detail.
• Demonstrate mechanical skills.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
