Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) to support our clinic in The Woodlands, TX.
Parking is covered. M-F work schedule, no holidays or on-call.
Responsibilities- Ensure clinical operations and practices are consistent with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with practice management on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects.
- Facilitate implementation and utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices.
- Implement standardized best practices within the organization.
- Ensure practice standards of care are consistent with community standards, and incorporate clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.
- Assume staff development responsibilities: assess staffing levels, patient flow, and current practices in the clinical setting.
- Assist with development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.
- Apply knowledge of labor laws and schedule employee staffing including vacations, sick leave, and overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school, BSN or MSN preferred; RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active practice as a registered nurse, including at least three (3) years oncology experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Environment:
Office or clinic setting; possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations typical of an oncology/hematology clinic.
Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
