We are seeking an Endoscopy Technician Lead for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As an Endoscopy Technician Lead, you will support safe, high-quality care for patients, lead your team during GI and endoscopy procedures, keep the work area safe, organized, and ready, and drive continuous improvement on the unit.
Responsibilities- Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient
- Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
- Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
- Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
- Assist in the maintenance, care, and labeling of specimens
- Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable
