Sanitation Specialist

Job Summary

Sanitation Specialist – Food & Nutrition Department, HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball. As a Food & Nutrition Sanitation worker, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring patient safety, infection control, and compliance with HACCP/food safety guidelines. You will also support the team in meeting patient, customer, physician, and operational goals.

• Adhere to HACCP and all food safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control practices, department security and HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain personal appearance and uniform standards at all times.
• Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
• Use proper processes to achieve patient, customer and physician satisfaction goals.
• Support quality processes and standards around sanitation.
• Report customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
• Promote the HCA vision, mission and values within the team.
• Participate in team and individual employee training.
• Engage in training with other members of the Food Service department to advance within the industry.
• Utilize cost control processes to meet goals and reduce waste.
• Follow timekeeping standards, including time‑clock procedures and meal breaks.

• High School Graduate or Equivalent – required.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare – preferred.
