Nurse Practitioner

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Texas RN license required.
• Valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Masters of Science in Nursing degree required.
• Current and active CPR certification.
• DEA License required.
• Experience in Orthopedics and Spine Surgery preferred.
• Proficient with EMR charting.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem‑solving skills required.

The Nurse Practitioner evaluates, plans, and provides care for patients in consultation with and under direct supervision of attending Physician.

• Perform clinical procedures under direction of attending Physician and according to approved protocols, including conducting appropriate medical screening and physical examinations, interpreting laboratory data correctly, and ordering appropriate laboratory investigations.
• Obtain medical and personal histories, perform physical examinations, educate patients and families, and conduct research activities reporting and publishing findings when completed.
• Medical charting.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, patients, and physicians.
• All other duties as assigned.
