Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Current Texas RN or LVN license issued by The Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
  • School nursing experience preferred
Application Requirements

  • Evidence of required college hours via an official transcript attached to online application or provided directly to Human Resources
  • Evidence of a current Texas RN or LVN license
  • Clear background check (conducted electronically at the time of application)
  • Receipt of three professional references (requested electronically at the time of application)
  • Either successful completion of TISD's fingerprinting procedure ($47 fee) or evidence of prior fingerprinting by the Texas Education Agency (other agency fingerprints may not be used, i.e. child care facilities, concealed handgun license, etc.)
  • Successful completion of an Orientation session with the Director of Health Services
  • Submission of completed New Substitute Paperwork, presentation of acceptable forms of  the I‑9/Employment Eligibility Form, and benefits elections
