Cardiovascular Surgery RN Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Cardiovascular Surgery. This position involves working in a surgical unit with a focus on cardiovascular cases. There are 10 operating room suites and 1 cystoscopy suite in the unit. The staffing includes full-time surgical techs and PRN surgical techs. There are also multiple RNs and PRN nurses on the team. The day shift typically requires 1 charge nurse, 7-8 techs, and 8 RNs.
Night shifts are staffed with on-call personnel after 7 PM. Patient ratios are 1:1 for general cases and 2:2 for cardiovascular cases. The unit uses Medi Tech for electronic medical records. Additional specialties performed include orthopedic, neuro/spine, general, gynecological, urology, ENT, and podiatry surgeries.
We value great attitudes and teamwork in our staff members. On-call coverage may be required 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month for emergency cases. Weekend teams are on-site for 12-hour shifts, but additional coverage may be needed. The facility provides scrubs in blue color, required due to daily change specifications.
