About the Role

The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for overseeing quality control activities, managing inspection teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Quality Supervisor collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to identify quality issues and develop effective corrective actions.

By maintaining rigorous quality assurance protocols, the supervisor helps minimize defects, reduce waste, and optimize operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role ensures that the organization consistently delivers high-quality products that comply with both internal standards and external regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies including root cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Quality Auditor or Quality Engineer (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the industry, such as FDA, ISO/TS, or GMP.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis software and quality management software systems.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily quality control operations, including inspections, testing, and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Supervise and mentor quality control inspectors and technicians, providing training and guidance to maintain high performance.
  • Analyze quality data and reports to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies related to quality management systems.
  • Conduct regular quality meetings and communicate findings and recommendations to management and production teams.
  • Support new product introductions by reviewing quality plans and participating in process validation activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.

The Quality Supervisor utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret quality data and identify trends that impact product performance. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for managing and motivating the quality control team, as well as for collaborating with production and engineering departments to resolve quality issues.
