Research Scientist, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing, maintain laboratory instrumentation, and support our quality-driven laboratory operations.
This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple laboratory techniques while working with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine laboratory testing and support activities per Standard Operating Procedures
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Manage inventory for required operating materials
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet established deadlines
- Support other laboratory areas as needed.
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Engineering or related scientific field
- 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation or techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical handling, scientific concepts, and analytical testing equipment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory testing environment
- Developing skills in problem solving and process improvements
Preferred:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
- 5+ years of analytical or metallurgical laboratory experience
- Developing skills in sample preparation, gravimetry, metallurgy testing, microscopy, cutting/polishing/etching, and other advanced instrumentation
- Experience with Lab Ware or similar LIMS
- Experience in ISO 9001 (or similar) certified organizations.
