Position

Sales & Leadership Trainee – Tomball, TX

Hourly rate: $21–$25 per hour.

The Sales & Leadership Development program is a multi‑year rotational program that provides exposure to all aspects of the business. It is structured to help trainees develop an aligned understanding of their skill set and long‑term career goals.

• Phase 1: Learn about and perform tasks related to business operations such as receiving, shipping, processing returns, delivering products, and maintaining trucks. Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions and complete related online courses.
• Phase 2: Gain experience in counter sales, including assisting customers, processing sales orders, providing product information, and maintaining the display area. Work with residential, commercial, and contractor customers.
• Phase 3: Learn sales tasks such as pricing, margin management, bids, quotes, submittals, product procurement, and job scheduling. Develop vendor relationships and participate in joint sales calls with outside salespersons.
• Phase 4: Participate in an in‑depth career discussion with your assigned Profit Center Manager to determine which aspect of the business you wish to pursue.

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles.
• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive company vehicles for business purposes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
• Adaptability to changes in a fast‑moving work environment.
• Proficiency with operating software systems and technology used in daily operations.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse material‑handling equipment.
• English proficiency and basic math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
