** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations, with attention to changing site conditions and restricted areas.

+ Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas, equipment, and materials.

+ Support emergency protocols by assisting with evacuations, perimeter control, and communication during hazardous conditions, operational disruptions, and/or other site-related incidents.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + A Level III Armed Certification in Texas is required.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
