Chlorinator Technician

JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE

The Chlorinator Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment.

• Completes all order paperwork.
• Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repair of: vacuum feed systems, chemical metering systems, automatic positioning valves, gas detectors and cylinder scales.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evening and 24‑hour emergency on call.

High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of experience.

Valid Driver s License (Class B CDL preferred). Other licenses (may vary according to specific site and assignments): SCBA, CSI, Gas Feed Systems Level 3, Chemical Metering Systems Level 3, Chemical Metering Systems Level 3, Gas Detector Level 1, Cylinder Scales Level 1, Factory Training Certification.

Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Advanced knowledge of vacuum systems, educators, metering pumps. Understanding and adherence to SDS sheets. Root Cause Failure Analysis;
Knowledge of hazardous material handling.

Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload & move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
