Welder - Valves - Oil & Gas Industry in Tomball

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Welder with at least 5 years of extensive experience with valves in the oil & gas industry. The role involves cutting, fitting, and welding pipeline products at our facilities using GMAW, GTAW, SAW, and other welding methods with a high level of precision.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on the project requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, including cutting material to match measurements.
• Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws (PT).
• Maintain equipment in a safe condition, ensuring it does not compromise safety.

• Proven experience as a welder.
• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, SUB-ARC).
• Experience using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, ruler, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
• Attention to detail and deftness.
• Proficient in English.
• Professional certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) is a plus.
