TDLR License is required. Journeyman electrician or residential wireman required for a full‑time position focusing primarily on residential projects.
Responsibilities- Installing standby generators
- Installing Automatic Transfer Switches
- Light electrical/generator service calls
- Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) required
- Pull wire, bend conduit, install and wire up electrical devices
- Trace wiring and troubleshoot problems
- Assist in load testing generator packages
- Assist in preparation and setting of power generation equipment and products such as trenching, piping, mechanical components, and civil assembly for power generation packages
- Read wiring diagrams
- Perform proper installation of all electrical equipment required to complete fabrication of projects (e.g., brackets, conduit, wiring, end devices, panels)
- Be proficient with measuring and electrical testing equipment
- Promote a clean, neat and safe work environment, and good welfare among the company and its divisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Typical hours:
Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM with weekend hours as necessary. Work requires walking, standing, sitting at a desk, typing, viewing and reading a computer monitor, and using a telephone. Frequent talking, hearing, and reading are required. Lifting up to 50lbs. and using hands and arms to reach, touch, and handle objects are also required.
- Must have a wireman state license*
- Previous electrical experience (some on‑the‑job training available)
- High School Diploma or GED
- AC and DC electrical experience is a plus
- Must have working knowledge of residential electrical work and its relation to overall business objectives
- Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
- Good people skills with ability to communicate well with others
- Highly motivated self‑starter with ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
