Dynamic Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support large-scale mechanical and process construction projects. You will operate excavators, loaders, and related equipment to excavate, trench, backfill, and grade for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems on data center, healthcare, industrial, and commercial sites. Responsibilities include reading site layouts, performing pre-trip inspections, following strict safety standards, and coordinating with field crews.
This role offers exposure to complex, high-profile projects, ongoing training, and growth opportunities within a nationwide contractor.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, forklifts, skid steers) to support mechanical, HVAC, and piping installations
- Excavate, trench, backfill, and grade to precise elevations for underground piping and foundations
- Work from site plans, grades, and stakeouts to position equipment and complete tasks accurately
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting issues promptly
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies on active construction sites
- Coordinate with foremen, pipe fitters, and other trades to sequence work efficiently
- Assist with rigging, material handling, and equipment movement around congested job sites
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and support site housekeeping requirements
- Document work, inspections, and equipment hours per company procedures
- Participate in toolbox talks and ongoing safety and skills training
Required Skills
