Driver Helper / Pilot Vehicle Driver
Schedule: Monday–Friday, some weekends, 6:00 AM until finish
License: Valid Driver's License (No CDL required)
Summary: Supports delivery operations by assisting with loading, unloading, and transporting materials. May drive a company van or pickup (under 10,000 GVW) or serve as a pilot vehicle driver for oversize loads.
Key Duties:
- Assist with loading and securing materials
- Help deliver and offload products at customer sites
- Drive a company van or pickup to deliver orders and obtain proof of delivery
- Operate a pilot vehicle for oversize loads
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure safety compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and meet productivity goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of related experience (or equivalent training)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 100 lbs frequently (up to 200 lbs with assistance)
- Ability to climb, lift, push, kneel, and work in various weather conditions
Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service
- Ability to read maps, routes, and road signs
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to operate material‑handling equipment
- Knowledge of escort regulations is a plus
