Accounting Associate

Accounting Associate supporting AP/AR, financial reporting, tax filings, and CFO analysis within a real estate portfolio environment.

The Wilner Group is partnering with a real estate organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate/Analyst to support the accounting team and provide analytical assistance to the CFO. This role blends hands‑on accounting responsibilities with financial reporting and administrative support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both transactional work and analysis.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable inquiries from tenants, vendors, and internal teams
• Process urgent payment requests within the accounting system
• Resolve utility billing and payment issues directly with service providers
• Support property accountants with documentation and journal entries
• Prepare schedules and financial analyses as needed
  
  Assist with year-end 1099 filings
• Manage filing of tax returns, K-1s, and financial statements in Share Point
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the CFO/Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Working knowledge of AP/AR processes
• Experience with Yardi or similar real estate software (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and document management systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
