The Township is seeking a qualified, experienced Full-time Tax Collector. The ideal applicant will be a detail-oriented team member who can supervise the functions of the tax office while ensuring compliance with all state law and municipal directives. The Tax Collector is responsible for the collection of personal and property taxes, including the proper calculation, preparation, and mailing of tax bills, the receipt and detailed accounting of all monies received, the timely and accurate reporting of office activities, and the enforcement of timely tax payment.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of municipal tax collection laws, accounting principles, and recordkeeping practices. In addition, the ideal candidate shall be able to develop administrative procedures for delinquent accounts, conduct annual tax sales, and prepare clear, accurate reports for the governing body.

Qualifications:

Possession of a current, valid Certified Municipal Tax Collector's Certificate (CTC) issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Applicant must possess knowledge of municipal tax collection laws, principles, practices, and procedures, and the administrative aspects of municipal property taxation and collection. Knowledge of accounting principles and the methods used to maintain accounting records. Full-time Salary range: $85,000- $120,000. Interested applicants may apply on:
