RESIDENTIAL REMODELING ESTIMATOR / CLIENT CONSULTANT

TAKK Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a motivated, professional, and personable Residential Remodeling Estimator to join our growing team.

We are a full-service construction company specializing in residential remodeling, additions, elevations, and custom home construction throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Our projects range from smaller renovation projects to large-scale custom homes and complex remodeling projects. We also provide construction services for select commercial and industrial clients.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working directly with homeowners, building relationships, and helping clients turn their vision into reality. The successful candidate will possess both strong estimating skills and the ability to confidently communicate with prospective clients throughout the sales and pre-construction process.

• Meet with prospective clients to discuss project goals, gather information, and establish strong working relationships.
• Conduct site visits and project evaluations to develop accurate scopes of work and budget expectations.
• Create detailed scopes of work based upon site visits, client discussions, plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and engineering documents to generate accurate take-offs and estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, proposals, schedules, and material procurement packages for projects ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000+.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients in a professional and confident manner.
• Serve as a primary point of contact during the estimating and pre-construction phases, providing exceptional customer service and communication.
• Collaborate with ownership, office staff, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and project planning.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, material orders, and other project documentation.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in project handoff meetings and collaborate with production staff to ensure seamless project execution.
• Assist with quality control inspections and project evaluations as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Utilize technology and software tools to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and communication.

• Minimum two (2) years of residential remodeling, construction estimating, project management, or related experience. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong aptitude and motivation.
• Thorough understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and building practices.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and mobile technology.
• Experience with estimating software and construction management platforms is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with homeowners and prospective clients.
• Comfortable conducting in-person meetings and presenting estimates and proposals.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
