Role Description

The Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Sansone Hyundai in New Jersey, United States. This role is responsible for greeting service customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, and accurately documenting service requests. The Service Advisor coordinates with technicians to review diagnostic findings, explains recommended services and pricing, and gains customer approval for work to be performed. Key daily tasks include scheduling service appointments, providing status updates, reviewing repair orders and ensuring timely vehicle delivery.

The role also involves handling customer questions and concerns, promoting aftersales services, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and dealership professionalism.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability in Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer-focused Service.
  • Strong Communication skills for interacting with customers, technicians, and team members.
  • Experience or familiarity with Aftersales processes, including service, parts, and follow-up.
  • Previous experience in automotive service advising, dealership, or related customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Ability to explain technical information in clear, accessible language and make sound recommendations.
  • Proficiency with computer-based scheduling, repair order systems, and basic office software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive or customer service training is a plus.
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
