VIP Childhood Development Center is looking for a Head Teacher for our Preschool Classroom. This class has 25 wonderful children looking for a committed teacher to love and nurture them. We are dedicated to fostering creativity and learning in our students while providing a supportive atmosphere for our educators.
Responsibilities- Conduct/Observe children to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Implementing school policies and procedures and enforcing them consistently.
- Communicating with Parents about their child’s progress, behavior issues, illnesses, or other relevant topics.
- Conducting verbal and written performance evaluations assessing strengths and developmental opportunities of students.
- Developing, documenting and ensuring Creative Curriculum lesson plans are being implemented. Observation and evaluating lesson plans through Gold.
- Creating a safe environment for children to learn and play by ensuring that the facility is clean and organized.
- Conducting programs that meet the developmental needs of children in their care with parents by Grow NJ KIDS standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, behaviors, and other pertinent information about children in the program.
- CDA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children required.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience in childcare.
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum.
- Knowledge of Grow NJ Kids.
- Organizational Skills.
- Maintaining of Records.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Positive attitude and commitment to child development.
