Township Engineer
The Township Engineer is responsible for preparing plans for public projects, maintaining project-related documents, overseeing surveys and maps, and managing the planning, design, and construction of capital infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting in grant applications, providing technical advice to other Township departments, recommending capital projects to the Mayor and Council, and contributing to the formulation of the Township capital budget.
The Engineer also assigns projects to consulting engineers, supervises personnel within the division, and prepares monthly reports for Township Council.
Desired experience: roadway design, stormwater management, capital project management, and civil site projects; general knowledge of engineering methods and relevant regulations. Must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, and a valid professional Engineer license in the State of New Jersey for at least 5 years.
CompensationFull‑time salary range: $90,000–$150,000.
