Gaming Marketing & Events Manager

Location:

Must be located in NJ or Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MGM, collaborating with the Sr. Manager on strategy, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing initiatives that inspire land‑based players to choose BetMGM (MI) / Borgata Online (NJ) as their preferred online gaming destination.
  • Strengthen brand awareness, customer conversion, and long‑term loyalty across physical and digital channels.
  • Lead and oversee gaming event/activation execution (e.g., Big Pull events, VIP experience weekends, co‑branded campaigns).
  • Partner with MGM marketing and special events teams to ensure cohesive brand representation and seamless execution.
  • Manage relationships between BetMGM (MI)/Borgata Online (NJ) gaming teams and MGM property teams to ensure effective brand placement and presentation.
  • Coordinate logistics, staffing, promotional materials, and compliance requirements for on‑property activations and events.
  • Provide day‑to‑day direction to the gaming events/marketing team on planning timelines, vendor coordination, and on‑site execution.
  • Leverage the MGM Property Special Events calendar to identify omni‑channel opportunities and execute cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Maintain a property‑level gaming event calendar, aligning with marketing campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to analyze campaign and event performance, track KPIs, and recommend improvements.
  • Work with CRM and Loyalty teams to support targeted communications for property‑based campaigns and event promotions.
  • Conduct competitive research on omnichannel gaming and property‑based event strategies to identify trends and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Travel regularly to MGM Grand Detroit & Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa for planning meetings, oversight, and on‑site event execution, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Maintain a valid gaming license in applicable jurisdictions; obtain and retain licensing as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in gaming, marketing, event management, hospitality, or a related industry, with proven ownership of live event execution.
  • Experience leading or directing an events team, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability across planning and execution phases.
  • Success in budget management, vendor coordination, cross‑functional alignment, and real‑time problem solving.
  • Capacity to collaborate with multiple departments (marketing, operations, VIP services, hospitality, and property leadership) to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Knowledge of online and land‑based casino operations and regulatory considerations preferred.
  • Familiarity with MGM Resorts properties and the BetMGM product ecosystem preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple large‑scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Commercial acumen with experience analyzing performance data, presenting insights, and translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. The role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000, with potential bonus incentives.
