At OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners
, we are committed to empowering our partner advisors by providing exceptional financial advice and solutions. We believe in having a positive impact on the lives of those around us—our family members, friends, clients, and other members of the community. As a leading RIA firm, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as Chief Investment Platform Officer.

Position Overview

The Chief Investment Platform Officer is a newly created executive seat responsible for building, scaling, and leading OnePoint BFG's centralized investment platform through a phase of defining growth — from approximately $18B in AUM today toward $30B and ultimately $50B+. The CIPO will architect a disciplined, scalable investment ecosystem grounded in the firm's “house models with thoughtful flexibility” philosophy: a centralized core that delivers consistent fiduciary outcomes while preserving the advisor-led DNA that has made OnePoint BFG a destination of choice for top advisor partners.

The Chief Investment Platform Officer will chair the Investment Committee and serve as a key voice on the executive team shaping how OnePoint BFG invests client capital at scale.

Organizational Context
  • Reports directly to the CEO; member of the executive leadership team.
  • Six direct functional areas:
Investment Committee, Investment Research & Portfolio Design, UMA Platform, Alternatives & Complex Products, Proprietary Strategies, and Centralized Trading.
  • Partners closely with the Chief Investment Officer. The CIO serves as the firm’s lead market strategist and public investment voice, while the CIPO is accountable for investment platform architecture, governance, implementation, advisor adoption, and portfolio delivery at scale.
Strategic Mandate Year One
  • Modernize the investment platform for OnePoint at scale: assess current state across all six areas, identify gaps, define governance, and publish a multi-year investment platform roadmap.
  • Codify the “centralization with flexibility” framework: define what is house, what is flex, and what remains advisor-bespoke — with clear governance for each tier.
  • Charter and rebuild the Investment Committee and sub-committee structure; establish decision rights, documentation standards, and a defensible fiduciary process.
  • Build a working partnership with the Chief Investment Officer; define how house views translate from market narrative into portfolio action.
  • Develop a best-in-class investment offering for advisors and clients that is built for scale — ensuring the right blend of customization and systemization. Lead advisor adoption and change-management efforts required to increase utilization of centralized investment solutions.
Strategic Mandates Beyond Year 1
  • Drive measurable advisor adoption of house models, with clear metrics on percentage of platform AUM held in centralized models versus advisor-bespoke.
  • Expand the alternatives and complex products platform to meet the demands of HNW and UHNW clients — creating a primary differentiator for OnePoint BFG at $30B+.
  • Ensure operation of mature proprietary strategies with appropriate fiduciary guardrails; grow where there is genuine client value, not platform convenience.
  • Achieve best-in-class trading efficiency: execution quality, tax-loss harvesting at scale, and transition management for inbound advisor books.
  • Build a platform capable of absorbing $5B+ in annual inorganic AUM without service or quality degradation. Develop a repeatable framework for integrating acquired firms, advisor teams, investment models, and legacy platforms.
Departmental Oversight Investment Committee and Sub-Committees
  • Chairs the IC; establishes charter, cadence, decision rights, and documentation.
  • Stands up appropriate sub-committees with clear scope and accountability.
  • Ensures every committee decision has clear ownership, a rationale of record, and a path to implementation at the desk.
Investment Research and Portfolio Design
  • Is the intellectual engine of the…
