Vice President Finance

We are seeking a VP of Finance for an early-stage manufacturing startup, to own the financial strategy, production cost accounting, and operational infrastructure. Core duties include building cost-control models, managing cash flow for supply chains, and setting up scalable financial systems. This role will be a blend of high-level strategic finance with hands-on operational accounting to support rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance team, overseeing general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and ensuring GAAP compliance
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting
• FP&A, assist in building multi-year financial models, cash burn forecasts, and production variance reports
• Partner with the CEO & senior leadership to develop financial strategies, secure funding, and manage relationships with investors and lender
• Cost Accounting, inventory valuations, and plant overhead analysis

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance with direct manufacturing or physical-goods startup experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Skilled in cost accounting, financial modeling, and cross-functional leadership with supply chain teams.
• Experience implementing financial systems (E.g. Net Suite)
